Many states and countries are implementing age verification laws for social media. In order for MyInkedSpace or KrackSocial to continue to be accessed from those states and countries we would need to ask for your ID.
Alternatively, we can block states and countries with age verifications laws but there are many with more coming, including the state we operate out of and the state where the server resides. This is not a viable option.
Another option is ignoring the laws but eventually that will result in large fines, imprisonment, and services the website uses suspending us.

Social Media's Response, Fines, and Restrictions
- Bluesky has implemented ID age verification for anyone accessing the site from the United Kingdom and Ohio. Additionally, Bluesky has blocked anyone accessing the site from Mississippi.
- The United Kingdom is fining Imgur (a United States company) for not verifying the age of those accessing their content from the United Kingdom. As a result, Imgur has blocked the United Kingdom.
- Reddit is verifying users age but isn't specific about for whome besides those accessing the site from the United Kingdom and for adult content only. Reddit uses a 3rd party service to verify IDs (which has a starting price of $250/mo).
- Spotify, Telegram, and others are also checking IDs for those in the UK.
- The United Kingdom is fining 4chan (a United States company) for ignoring the UK's Online Safety Act for $26,700.
- YouTube is using AI for guessing your age in the United States and may require proof you're over 18.
- Xbox is limiting features starting in 2026 for everyone in the UK unless ID or other proof of age is provided. You can bet this will be expanded to the US and other countries due to new age verification laws.
- Reddit and Kick added to Australia's new child social media ban. Australia's world-first social media ban for children under 16 will apply to messaging board Reddit and live-streaming platform Kick, joining Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook and Instagram, which includes Threads, as "age-restricted" from December 10.
- Age verification could soon land in Russia. On October 21, a member of the Russian Civic Chamber, Yevgeny Masharov, proposed a plan to force all internet users to prove their age. This would involve using their passport data, driver's license, or bank information to access online content intended for an 18+ audience.
- Italy will be the latest country to require age verification, but just for adult sites (for now).
Other Age Verification Laws
- New California introduces age verification law for all operating systems (ie, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Linux, etc) requiring age verification during OS account setup and must provide real-time age checker to every app developer who requests it. This law takes effect January 1st, 2027.
